Nuku Ora, formerly Sport Wellington, is the leading independent body for physical activity across the greater Wellington region. With a belief in the power of physical movement to transform lives, Nuku Ora engaged Gemtech to future-proof their technology environment through an Information Systems Strategic Plan. This addressed every layer of their digital environment, including people, processes, information, applications, and infrastructure.

Gemtech also delivered a Digital Programme, consisting of three projects: migrating office productivity to Office365 with a modern SharePoint-based content management solution; upgrading the Nuku Ora website and content management platform to Silverstripe; and migrating and consolidating two bespoke CRM systems into a unified Dynamics 365 solution. A significant achievement was the establishment of a CRM model that could be replicated across other Regional Sports Trusts, which leveraged the Office365 environment and enabled significant savings. This not only enhanced Nuku Ora’s digital capability but also set a benchmark for sector-wide innovation and efficiency.
